This workout will consist of a lifting complex with each athlete working to establish
their heavy complex within the workout timecap.
ALL DIVISIONS
The barbell complex consists of the following sequence of lifts.
1 power clean
2 hang clean
3 front squat
GENERAL NOTES
Each team will have one barbell to share among their athletes. Weight may be taken on and off the bar as desired.
To complete the complex, the lifts must be performed in sequence without dropping the barbell.
All lifts must be performed on the platforms.
When lifting for score, athletes must notify their judge and declare the weight to be lifted PRIOR to touching the barbell.
Athletes must wait for notification of a completed complex from their judge before dropping the barbell.
There is a 20 minute window to complete the complex.
A successful complex will be counted if the barbell leaves the platform prior to the 20 minute window ending.
The score for this workout is the sum of each athlete’s heaviest completed complex.
This workout is scheduled for Saturday.
POWER CLEAN STANDARDS
A rep begins with the barbell on the platform.
The barbell is cleaned to the front rack and the rep ends when the barbell is held in the front rack with elbows in front of the bar and with hips and knees extended with feet under the shoulders.
The hip crease must stay above the top of the knee during the entire clean movement.
HANG CLEAN STANDARDS
A rep begins with the barbell held above the knees.
The barbell may not drop below the knees at any point during the hang clean.
The barbell is cleaned to the front rack and the rep ends when the barbell is held in the front rack with elbows in front of the bar and with hips and knees extended with feet under the shoulders.
A hang squat clean is allowed.
FRONT SQUAT STANDARDS
A successful lift begins and ends with the athlete standing with hips and knees at full extension after passing through a squat with hip crease below the top of the knee while holding the bar in the front rack position throughout the entire lift.
In order to record a successful lift, the barbell must remain on the platform after being dropped after the last rep.
